Terms of Service

1. Who can join

• You must be 18 or older.
• One account per person, for your own use only.
• Give accurate information when you set up and update your profile, including your first and last name and your neighborhood.

2. Your account

There are no passwords. You log in with a one-time link we email you, or with Google. Keep access to your email account and your Google account secure, because anyone who can open your login links can use your 704 Miles account. Tell us at 704miles@creativemindswear.com if you think someone else has used it.

3. The League and the Challenge

The League is a monthly competition with two separate leaderboards, Run (including trail runs) and Walk (including hikes). It starts fresh on the first of every month, and you can appear on both boards. The Challenge is a separate community goal with its own dates, where the Run board and the Walk board each work toward 704 miles together. One activity can count toward both the League and the Challenge.

Using 704 Miles and taking part in the League and the Challenge are free.

Miles count only when they come from a connected fitness app. There is no manual entry. Connecting an app is not available yet; when it is, that app's own terms will also apply to how you use it.

Leaderboards show your first name and last initial unless you choose to hide your name in Settings. Hiding your name does not remove your results from the boards.

4. Fair play

Only your own, genuine runs and walks count. These do not:

• treadmill activities;
• manually entered activities;
• duplicate activities; and
• activities recorded before you connected the app.

We may review, correct or remove activities and results that break these rules or look inaccurate, and we may correct results before a month or Challenge is finalized. Leaving and joining again does not bring back earlier miles.

5. Rewards and recognition

No reward drawing is running yet. Any reward program will have its own Official Reward Rules, published before it starts, and those rules will govern it. Rewards are chosen at random, not by who runs or walks the most. Top Runner and Top Walker are recognition titles only.

6. Using 704 Miles responsibly

You agree not to:

• pretend to be someone else, or create an account for someone else;
• use Create Account or the login form to send emails to an address that is not yours;
• use a name that is offensive, misleading or not your own;
• interfere with the website, get around its security, or access accounts or data that are not yours; or
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or copy the website.

We may hide a profile name, or suspend or close an account, that breaks these Terms or puts other members or the service at risk.

7. Health and safety

Running and walking involve physical risk. You decide when, where and how hard you exercise, and you take part at your own risk. Check with a doctor if you are unsure whether an activity is right for you, follow traffic laws, and stay aware of your surroundings. 704 Miles does not organize, supervise or provide routes for your activities.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what is kept in anonymized form.

9. Our content

The 704 Miles name, logos and other trademarks, and the intellectual property in the website, are owned by Wix Industries LLC, the parent company of Creative Minds Wear LLC, or by its licensors. Creative Minds Wear LLC operates 704 Miles under that ownership. You may use the website for your own personal, non-commercial participation; these Terms give you no other right to the 704 Miles name, logos or content.

10. Changes to 704 Miles and these Terms

We may add, change or remove features. When we change these Terms, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If we make a significant change, we will also tell members by email or on the website before it takes effect. If you keep using 704 Miles after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply.

11. Disclaimers and limits of liability

We work to keep 704 Miles running and its results accurate, but the website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Creative Minds Wear LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of 704 Miles. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

12. Disputes

If you have a concern, please email us first at 704miles@creativemindswear.com so we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, and any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the courts in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
